On this date in 1980, The V.I.P.'s released their second single, "The Quarter Moon". The B side was "Hippy Hippy Shake". The single reached the #54 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The Warwick, England mod revivalist band called it quits by year's end with five singles but no albums to their credit.
