Hi all. Tryin this 'blogging' thing.

Some of you know from time to time I bring bands/singers to town because I love their music. It is now one of those instances again. Somehow I kinda missed this band in the 80s when I was djing in college at WMHW 91 Rock FM in Mt Pleasant, Michigan. Well I'm glad I found 'For Against'. I was looking at www.bigtakeover.com , one of my fav music mags as far as finding out what's new and good as far as music goes. Jack Rabid, the editor, put up his top 10 of the year so far and I usually like a lot of his picks. Well, the new 'For Against' cd, "Shade Side, Sunny Side" was listed at the very top of the list. After reading his review I went out and bought it. It has been steady player in my car cd for 2 months. I love this cd so much that I"ve invited the band to come from Lincoln, Nebraska to play for me and my friends and whoever else wants to come They are going to play the Earl on Saturday 11/8. Do yourself a favor and give the cd a try. If you like Gang of Four, Interpol, Joy Division, The Chameleons, or bands of similar ilk, you should like these guys.
