Topic: The Prefects - Going Through The Motions

On this date in 1980, The Prefects' first and only single was released. The A side was "Going Through The Motions". The B side was "Things In General". Both were recorded during Peel Sessions in 1979 and 1978 respectively. The Birmingham, England punk band had already disbanded by the time this release and it was their only one until a later compilation. Robert Lloyd, Paul Apperley, Eamonn Duffy and Joe Crow went on to form post punk band The Nightingales.
